We were approached by a new natural pain relief product company that needed to stand out from the competition. They had a groundbreaking new product but needed essential things–a name and a brand.
After some research and discovery with the client, we presented a few different naming options. The client was drawn to a couple of different names but wasn’t sold on any one in particular. We took elements from the different options and the name, Capsiva, just naturally fell into place. Capsiva was a hit and was a hint back to the main ingredient of the product.
Capsiva is made from a revolutionary capsaicin blend which allows you to experience the full benefits of capsaicin, a compound found naturally in the chili peppers that people have been using and eating for centuries.
With the name and some high level brand strategy agreed on we began researching and developing the visual identity of Capsiva. It’s a natural product and used for pain relief so we focused more on a calming, clean, and natural look.
For the logo we wanted to it to fit in with the calming, clean and natural look. We developed abstract variations and some that options that were more literal. We wanted to create an icon to go with the wordmark giving the brand more flexibility.
Once we had a logo and some brand guidelines we began work on designing the packaging for Capsiva. From the tube and the box it came in to how the product would be displayed on the shelves. We kept the clean and soft aesthetic for the design and incorporated a lot of the pattern to add a little fun.
Along with the full size product packaging, we came up with an idea of smaller, sample size packages. The challenge here was making the different packages similar in aesthetic and still stay legible at such a small size.
Naturally, Capsiva needed a place to sell their product so we wireframed and designed a website. We developed a custom Shopify website to make the checkout and payment processing reliable and easy to implement. Capsiva also wanted to implement subscribe and save functionality to the product sales funnel.
Working with us Capsiva ended up getting a name that perfectly represented their product, beautifully branded packaging and a sleek new website to promote and sell their revolutionary product.
