I've always enjoyed creating things. From floral arrangements to baking, the idea of making something really resonates with me. Being a developer makes me want to tear my hair out sometimes, but at the end of a project being able to stand back and look at what I made, that's why I love it.

img_0002While Katie Corcoran attended Central Michigan University for vocal performance, her love for development won out. It all began when she was put in charge of her prior employer’s Salesforce account. While she had no prior experience with the CRM, Katie was not phased and figured out the complex software. In no time Katie not only became the Salesforce administrator and developer but she began teaching herself Javascript.

Soon after Katie began craving more flexibility and decided to enroll in Grand Circus’s Front-End Development Bootcamp to expand her developing knowledge. Half way through the class she quit her job to focus on full-time development. Since joining the Element5 team Katie helps with both front-end and back-end development.

Even when she’s not at work, Katie enjoys learning new development techniques. She also likes to play softball, walking her dog and hanging out with her husband.
